Cracks in the Law?

Bicycling's image as the preferred mode of travel for perverts and losers seems to be showing some cracks. A story from September in the New York Observer comments on the outrageous phenomenon of women (models and actresses, even!) riding bikes in NYC. While one might interpret this as a step in the right direction--surely if models do it, it can't be only for perverts and losers!--though there is the taint of perversion in the fetishism of pretty girls on bikes.
